Concerning basic principles...
&&. In the case of auditions, the form below is copied and pasted into this thread. Do not attempt to create a new thread in the board; you can't. Copy, paste into this thread, fill out, and post. Staff will appraise it as quickly as possible.

Concerning winning...
&&. When a Deputy position is open, there must be an audition process. This does not mean that you create a character specifically for the rank and wait for several other people to do the same and after X amount of time, the staff simply pick someone. Excluding the first Deputy of each Clan in the site's infancy, all Deputies must be an accepted character for at least a moon before they qualify for the position. Unlike Leaders, Deputy auditions stay open all the time. Even when there is a cat holding the rank, there is room for auditions. This is because cats die, members fall inactive. According to the Warrior Code, Deputies must be chosen by moonhigh on the same eve of the death or promotion of the predecessor. On A Warrior's Fate, staff "pass" or "fail" auditions based on skill and activity and the winner of the audition is at the discretion of the Leader. Therefor, it is impossible to have a Deputy and not a Leader.
